Potenza design concept

Hartwell Plumbing

Nobody browses a plumber's website. They have water on the floor. The whole design is organized around answering three questions instantly — what you do, where you work, how to reach you — and then getting out of the way.

The thinking behind the design

The challenge

  • Every competitor has one 'Services' page listing 30 things, which ranks for none of them.
  • Homeowners don't know whether the company covers their town.
  • Trade sites often look either corporate and cold, or like a 2009 template.

Design approach

  • Strong, plain typography on white and charcoal with a deep working blue — confident, not corporate.
  • One page per service, each written for how people actually search.
  • Service area section states the towns covered in words, not just a map graphic.
  • Trust indicators — license, insurance, years working — sit above the fold, not on an About page nobody reads.

Conversion strategy

  • Call Now and Text Us are pinned to the bottom of every mobile screen.
  • Request Service is a short form: name, address, what's wrong.
  • Each service page repeats the call button after the description — no scrolling back up.

Important features

  • Separate page for every service, not one crammed list
  • Service area pages by city and neighborhood
  • License number and insurance stated plainly
  • Before / after repair photography
  • Review integration from the platforms customers actually check
  • Sticky call and text bar on mobile
